Education is a long term project. We are working against illiteracy and lack of study habits, especially among the poorest. We know everything can not be done, but our goal is our strength. We will not yield to adversity. We continue with our efforts towards a better future, cooperation for the good of our communities, always focusing on the most vulnerable, children and youth.
EDUCATION
Cambodia is a country with one of the youngest populations throughout Asia (50% of the population is under 18 years), therefore education is considered one of the keys to future development.
For many years, the Apostolic Prefecture of Battambang, have been working very hard on education as a priority of our service.
With the cooperation and collaboration of local government and communities we want to create better opportunities in education.
We want greater access to an education for young people and a greater appreciation of the value of education amongst students and all other stakeholders in the educational community (parents, teachers, school administrators, community leaders and government officials).
Working towards this vision, we can build bridges of solidarity that will help create new networks capable of improving the capacities of local communities.

If you want to establish foundations for a good education, this has to done from a very early age. Therefore, over the next five years we want to focus on younger children, while we continue to support students in the College and the University.
