From family meals to feasts for weddings, from planting time to harvest - rice is the grain that gathers people together. On the lands of Prefecture, community members come together to cultivate rice – the most basic of foods for people here. The harvests feed the needs of the immediate communities, other parishes, as well as hundreds of poor families with whom harvests are shared, in exchange for work that they will help to do in the farms.
If in other cultures, we break bread, in Cambodia, we share the rice.
